Myrick Training Services Celebrates Merly Hipgrave’s Success at the Skills Academy Wales Apprenticeship Awards
Myrick Training Services is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Merly Hipgrave, who has successfully completed her Level 4 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Mechanical) apprenticeship framework. Merly, who works as a Design Engineer at Makefast Ltd in Newtown, has demonstrated exceptional dedication and technical growth throughout her apprenticeship journey.
Supported and trained by Myrick Training Services from Level 2 through Level 3 and now Level 4, Merly has consistently shown a strong commitment to developing her engineering skills. Her progression reflects both her personal determination and the high-quality training and mentorship provided through Myrick’s apprenticeship programmes.
Merly’s hard work and capability were recognised at the Skills Academy Wales Apprenticeship Awards 2026, where she was honoured with the Higher Apprentice (Level 4) Award. The ceremony, held on Monday 9th February 2026 at the NPTC Neath Campus, celebrated outstanding apprentices, employers, and work-based learning practitioners from across South and Mid Wales.
The Skills Academy Wales Apprenticeship Awards (SAW Awards) form a key part of National Apprenticeship Week Wales, highlighting the vital role apprenticeships play in developing skilled talent and supporting regional industry. Organised by the NPTC Group of Colleges partnership, the awards recognise learners who demonstrate exceptional progress, professionalism, and impact in their chosen fields.
