Course Objectives:

Statistical Process Control is recognised as having a major contribution to improving quality, increasing throughput and reducing costs. It is used extensively by world class manufacturers. Many major manufacturers are insisting their suppliers implement SPC into their process. Its philosophy and techniques apply to all facets of the business whether in administration or manufacture. This workshop will not only provide the basic techniques but the all important philosophy on which its success depends.

Practical exercises are used extensively throughout the workshop. Real company data can be included, where appropriate. The outline aims of the workshop are to:

  • discuss the philosophy of Statistical Process Control

  • examine the problem solving techniques

  • construct control charts for variable and attribute data using simple exercises
